Exploring Historic Chester County
Let’s highlight a #homeoftheday and feature a local gem.
Who doesn’t love a Farmhouse?
We’re fortunate to be surrounded by so much beauty and history right here in Chester County – it just takes me back to my roots growing up in my childhood home, a Farmhouse in Central Pennsylvania. Our environment and incredible architecture likely leads to why Chester County was ranked #4 across America or the top 17% of healthiest communities.
Let’s review this week’s home contenders before we reveal the winner.
The Featured Farmhouse Friday winner is …
OK, so I ran into a little dilemma this week – it wouldn’t be fair for me to just pick one of the Church Farm School properties. We took a tour of the Historic Kates Gatehouse, a Tudor style Cottage, surrounded by preserved and open space. Just up the road is the Solitude Farm, the Jacobs Homestead, built c. 1750.
